[:nl] Louis S Prangl, een jongeman uit Cook County, Illinois, werd geselecteerd voor de US Army Air FOrce (USAAF). Zijn training kreeg hij op diverse militaire bases door heel Amerika. uiteindelijk werd hij lid van crew Gaik. Deze crew kwam na enkele omzwervingen terecht in Framlingham, Engeland. Ze kregen het beladen crew-nummer 30 toegewezen als onderdeel van het 569th Bomber Squadron, 390th Bombardment Group, Heavy.

Bijzonder detail is het feit dat Louis gesneuveld is (KIA) op de verjaardag van mijn vader Hub Hensgens.

Finally he became member of crew Gaik. This crew was stationed at Framlingham, England after several wanderings. They got assigned the emotionally charged crewnumber 30 as part of the 569th Bomber Squadron, 390th Bombardment Group, Heavy.
