Informatie uit de After Action Reports van de 111th Field Artillery
De tijdlijn zal starten in juni 1944 op het moment dat de Geallieerde troepen klaar staan om Het Kanaal over te steken voor de grootste amfibische landing in de wereldgeschiedenis op de stranden van Normandië, Frankrijk. Na maanden, zelfs jaren trainen startten ze met de vernietiging van Hitler’s fort in Europa. Tot nu toe zal de tijdlijn eindigen met de maand oktober 1944, omdat dat de laatste maand is waarvan ik de After Action Reports van de 111th FA in mijn bezit heb. Ik zal proberen ook kopieën te bemachtigen van de maanden november 1944 tot het einde van de oorlog in mei 1945.

The timeline will start in June 1944, when the Allied troops were ready to cross the Channel for the biggest amphibious landing in worldhistory on the beaches of Normandy, France. After months, even years of training they started the destruction of Hitler’s fortress in Europe. Till now the timeline will end with the month October, 1944, because that’s the last month of which I have received the After Action Reports of the 111th FA. I will try to get copies of the After Action Reports of November 1944 till the end of the war in May 1945.
